Admission Requirements 

We look for candidates who have outstanding academic and linguistic potential, as well as the interpersonal skills needed to succeed in a high-status hospitality management career.

Overview

To access our Bachelor in International Hospitality Management, you must have successfully completed your final secondary school examinations, qualifying you for university admission in the country where you went to school. In general, we require grades that are well above the minimum pass level. We also take into consideration the difficulty of the courses you chose, and prefer subjects that develop the analytical skills needed to succeed at EHL Campus (Singapore).

Candidates are also required to have acquired at least the equivalent of one year of professional experience full-time in hospitality, either professionally or during their studies. Please contact our admission@ehl.ch for further details regarding our professional experience requirement.

The minimum age for entry to our Bachelor's course is 18.

Language Requirements

English

You must provide one of the following documents: 

  • A certificate showing that for the last three years of your secondary education you studied in a school where English was the main language of instruction or study one of the following curricula in English: IB, French Baccalauréat (OIB or BFI), Swiss Bilingual Matura, Academica Dual Diploma or the European baccalaureate.
  • TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) new Internet-based TOEFL (iBT) - minimum 100 points.
  • C1 Advanced Certificate in English, minimum grade B.
  • IELTS (International English Language Testing System), academic module - minimum band score 7.0.
  • TOEFL Essentials minimum score of 10.5.
  • Duolingo minimum 120 points.

Secondary Education Credentials

  • International Baccalaureate - Diploma: 28/45.  Please release your final exam results transcripts through transcripts.row@ibo.org
  • Swiss Diplomas - Maturité gymnasiale/fédérale/professionnelle/spécialisée: successful completion
  • A-Levels - 3 required, minimum BBC grades, which must include 1 numerical OR Science subject
  • French Baccalauaréat Diplomas
    • Baccalauréat Général: min. 12/20
      • + Mathematics in Première AND Terminale (Spécialité for both years OR spécialité + Option mathématiques complémentaires)
      • + Spécialité SVT (Sciences de la Vie et de la Terre) OR Spécialité Physique-Chimie in Première AND Terminale (these can be taken via the CNED during Première and Terminale). For further information, please reach out to admissions@ehl.ch
    • Baccalauréat STMG / STHR / ES: min. 12/20
    • Baccalauréat S and L (mathematics option mandatory): min. 10/20
  • Singaporean Diplomas
    • GCE A Levels: Three H2 subjects and one H1 subject, including Mathematics, with a B average. A strong grade in Project Work and General Paper or Knowledge & Inquiry paper must be attained.
    • Polytechnic diploma: Ideally from a business or engineering stream, with a strong pass in GCE O Level Mathematics or equivalent (quantitative subject).
    • NUS High School Diploma
  • American High School Diploma:
    • A minimum unweighted GPA of 3.0
      +
      • SAT with a min. score of 1200 OR
      • ACT with a min. composite score of 24 OR
      • CLT with a min. score of 78
      +
      • 3 higher level classes in core courses with min. B grades and in 3 different subjects:
        • Advanced Placement
        • IB Higher Level
        • Honors
        • Dual enrollment
        • College prep classes

    Students may choose to submit a combination of the above courses.

Selection Process 

Our selection process is designed to assess your skills and attributes. There are three phases: initial evaluation, online assessment, and final selection.

Overview

All applications should be made online through our application module.

We will start reviewing your files once your complete application is received.

We take a comprehensive approach to selection. We look for candidates who have the academic foundation and personal qualities to be successful in our challenging program and to become leaders in the industry. Here are a few of the qualities we seek:

All of the documents listed below must be submitted electronically via the online application portal. We accept documents in French, English, German or Italian.

  • Copy of passport,
  • Copy of secondary school diploma & transcripts,
  • Essay in English (3 topics to choose from),
  • A language certificate, if applicable.

Upon a positive evaluation of your online application to our Bachelor's program in International Hospitality Management, you will receive an invitation to complete an online evaluation (computer-based) composed of:

The online interview
This interview lasts 20 minutes and we will ask you to turn on your webcam.

The analytical and quantitative aptitude test
This test is composed of 3 different exams in order to evaluate your leadership, interpersonal skills, analytical reasoning and motivation.

If you pass the online evaluation, you will be invited to take part in a motivation day. The motivation day is an opportunity for us to examine your interests and abilities in much greater depth. 

Our motivation days involve the following activity:

  • An interview

The interview

The interview is not a test of your knowledge, and you will not be quizzed on specific facts. The aim is to assess your motivation, your potential and your suitability for the demands of the hospitality industry. We will ask you to tell us about your experience and your expectations. Our questions will focus, for example, on any summer jobs you may have had in the hospitality industry, your extracurricular activities and your international exposure.

Following the motiviation day, your complete candidature will be evaluated by the Selection Committee. Admission to EHL is competitive, and only students who show excellent academic and leadership potential, motivation and interpersonal skills will be selected.

Bachelor course fees

The tables indicate the fees breakdown for the Bachelor course, detailed information is available in the Student Contract. We remind students that their fees are secured through a Fee Protection Scheme. No tuition fees will be charged before receiving a signed student contract and before the 7 days cooling period. Please refer to our invoicing FAQ for further information regarding fees and payment modes. Please contact us for questions about financial aid.

EHL Campus (Singapore) provides accommodation support through arrangements with local providers. Students should budget about 6,500 SGD per semester for studio rental.

  1. Communal services fees cover the costs related to the facilities, such as site security, student affairs services, career centre services or alumni lifetime membership and are detailed in the table below.
  2. Prepaid amount for beverage and printing services offered on campus. Please note that EHL Campus (Singapore) offers breakfast and lunch service on-campus provided by a catering services company.

Miscelleanous Fees

Miscellaneous Fees refer to any non-compulsory fees which the students pay only when applicable. Such fees are normally collected by EHL Campus (Singapore) Ltd. Pte when the need arises.

Frequently Asked Questions

They are available in the Student Contract under schedule B.

We need to receive the payment in Singapore Dollars.

You will receive your first invoice following the signature of the Student Contract.
For international students, you will receive your first invoice after obtaining the In-Principle
Approval from the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority.

You will receive a reminder to make the payment as soon as possible. EHL reserves the right to
deny you access to the course should payment have not been received by the payment deadline stated on your student contract.

Following this, the Finance Department will contact you to discuss the next steps based on your individual circumstances.
